About

We started Girl Scout Troop 2303 in first grade and have been an active, vibrant troop for almost eight years. As we get ready to graduate from eighth grade, our troop remains committed to one of the main tenets of Girl Scouts -- "Make the World a Better Place."

In our years as Girl Scouts, we have earned multiple badges, completed Girl Scout journeys, participated in chocolate and cookie sales, and engaged in community service projects. We have helped pack food for an overseas charity, cooked dinners for the homeless, baked treats for families at the Ronald McDonald House, and supported the Gilda's Club mission for families contending with cancer. We've packed and delivered shoeboxes full of toys and games for children in need during the holidays, volunteered at the Humane Society and an animal sanctuary, and donated cookie sales to a local food pantry.
We've also had fun attending overnight camps at a discovery museum, competing in the Pinewood Derby, rock climbing, taking self-defense classes and archery lessons, touring a chocolate shop, bowling, star-gazing, knitting, painting, camping out, going to the movies, enjoying holiday parties, participating in Girl Scout events like World Thinking Day, and visiting an art museum.

For our Girl Scouts Bronze Award project as sixth graders, we dedicated a memorial tree in a local park to several Girl Scouts and a parent who were tragically killed while conducting a community service project.

The Power of a Girl website is a compilation of our individual Silver Award projects, all of which are intended to raise awareness about the important issue of girls' education throughout the world.

Thank you for supporting us in our mission and for helping girls everywhere obtain the education they deserve.
