Saida
Somalia

Saida had to put her dream of becoming a teacher on hold when she got married at seventeen years of age. In time, she had four children, including a set of triplets. Although she wanted to continue her education, it was extremely challenging because she had to care for her house and take care of her children.

Still, Saida was determined to continue her education and become a teacher. Saida received help from Mercy Corps and was accepted into a training program at Amoud University.

She worked hard and confidently so that when she finished her programs she could teach at the local school in her hometown. Saida wishes to shape the next generation of girls.
